Hey peeps, London may have had the chilliest end of August in the records, but thankfully my nun came to visit a few days before that and we managed to enjoy an on-off weather with (even) some sunny spells! It was gorgeous last Friday, so we had a stroll around Greenwich and the gorgeous Blackheath Village#howIlovethatplace.
I hope you enjoy the look and the amazing views on the pics! I got this faux leather skirt on a Zara sale and have been wearing it ever since! Think it went super well with the polka dots shirt and the Leopard print loafer, which gave a bit of a bold color to the pastel tones of the rest.I can already imagine the skirt with a woolen jumper and some ankle boots (super autumny!) – will post it here should I decide to go for the colder combination too!
Hey peeps, as you might have seen on Instagram (follow us @missstreetchicblog), my nan has come to visit me here in London & we’ve been out and about like two young girls.
So good to get to go around London, and seeing it from the point of view of a tourist – incredible how in love I am with this place.
Here you can see a few pics of our first day out together and the outfit I used. You may have noticed that I have been completely sticked to this plaid oversized River Island shirt LOL . It is a multi-use piece, so why not abuse of the various ways of wearing it (did you see me with the shirt wrapped around the waist in this post?). Since the shirt is quite big, I wore it over a little crop top , with the high-waisted ripped jeans (please note it is ok to show tiny bits of your belly! What’s not on trend is to have it fully on show with the lowest of the trousers and the highest of the tops, no matter how hot you look – it just doesn’t look great in the city #doesitmakesense? I hope you enjoy the pics, with beautiful London in the background.

Those who live in London know how gorgeous (and long!) this summer has been (thanks Goodness!). But we also know that there is always one or other day which is not that hot, but actually a bit refreshing! Hence, this look is to inspire for those ‘not-so-hot’ summer days, which almost bring spring feelings.
That flower print have been around for a while, most of us probably already know. However, the one trend that has been shyly coming up is the flower-cut pieces. In other words, they are still there, but in a more subtle way. I loved this Topshop Skirt since I first saw it in-store! It’s gorgeous, isn’t it? In pastel yellow (which could not be more trend), I think it went perfectly well with the denim shirt and the necklace. Please see where to shop the look further below!

I noticed the skirt is no longer available, but here there a few pieces you could shop to get a similar look:
Hey peeps, I could not let my biggest inspiration this week pass without sharing it with you – Olivia Palermo wearing a Zara pleated skirt as a dress (yes, you read it right!) with a Yellow waistcoat. The skirt could have been on the wishlist of many, but who would have thought of wearing it as a dress? #wishwehadthoughtofitourselves . Olivia is undoubtedly one of the biggest icons in the current fashion landscape, and had the genius idea – wasn’t it?
